From paper to project
Cut the three strips and check the colour against the wrapping.
Curve each long strip until its ends meet; leave the curved end uncreased.
Glue the ends with a 1 cm overlap and let them hold.
Position the two loops with their joined ends meeting at the centre.
Wrap the short strip around the join and glue it at the back.
Add two 2 × 6 cm tails if wanted, then attach the bow to the package.
Check it with an example
Each loop will be about 6 cm long after overlapping. The finished bow spans roughly 12 cm; measure the lid before attaching it.
If it does not turn out as expected
Use thinner paper if the curve cracks. Increase the glued contact area rather than adding a puddle of glue if the centre comes apart.
