From paper to project

  1. Cut one 10 cm star and one 7 cm star.

  2. Score a gentle fold from the centre to each point.

  3. Raise the points slightly without crushing the valleys.

  4. Glue the smaller star onto the larger one at a slight rotation.

  5. Add a small folded paper spacer underneath for more relief if wanted.

  6. Punch a point for hanging, or keep the shape flat for a card.

Check it with an example

The small star should leave the large star’s points visible. Arrange them without glue before choosing an orientation.

If it does not turn out as expected

Very narrow points tear easily. Print at the intended size rather than halving the template for children learning to cut.
