From paper to project
Cut two hearts 6 cm wide using the template.
Cut a 2 × 8 cm strip and fold it in half to make a tab.
Glue 2 cm of one end behind the first heart.
Cover the join with the second heart, leaving the folded part free.
Let it dry under a clean sheet and a closed book for a few minutes.
Slide the tab over a single page and check that it does not pinch.
Check it with an example
160 gsm card makes a firmer bookmark; use lighter paper for delicate books and avoid sequins or rigid decorations.
If it does not turn out as expected
If the tab comes loose, increase the glued area. The fold should hold the page loosely rather than working as a tight clip.
