From paper to project
Read the product instructions and confirm surface compatibility.
Sketch an initial on paper before drawing on the mug.
Clean the exterior as directed for the material.
Decorate only the outside, leaving the rim and interior clear.
Dry or cure only as the manufacturer specifies; do not invent an oven temperature.
Identify it as decorative and use for pencils if stable.
Check it with an example
A 4 cm initial can fit on an 8 cm-high mug with margins. Try the drawing on a paper band wrapped around it.
If it does not turn out as expected
Ink staying in place does not prove food-contact suitability. Do not heat a mug or paint not rated for that process.
