From paper to project

  1. Mix flour and salt; avoid the activity if there is a relevant allergy.

  2. Add small amounts of water until the mixture holds together.

  3. Knead on a protected surface without tasting or eating it.

  4. Roll to about 5 mm thick and cut large shapes.

  5. Place them on a tray to air-dry, turning when firm enough to handle.

  6. Keep only fully dry decorations and discard anything with mould or an unusual smell.

Check it with an example

Start with little water, then add a teaspoon at a time. Flour varies: a ball should hold its shape without releasing liquid.

If it does not turn out as expected

No guaranteed storage period is given. Keep dough away from pets and children who mouth objects; do not oven-bake without a separate suitable recipe.
