From paper to project

  1. Measure the waist without tightening and allow ribbon for an accessible bow.

  2. Choose the skirt length and cut strips twice as long plus a knot allowance.

  3. Fold a strip in half and place its loop beneath the ribbon.

  4. Pass the ends through the loop and tighten gently.

  5. Repeat while leaving ribbon ends clear for fastening.

  6. Check comfort and movement; shorten dragging strips and remove it for sleep.

Check it with an example

For a 25 cm length, try 55 cm strips: 50 cm for the two halves plus 5 cm for the knot. Adjust after a sample.

If it does not turn out as expected

Do not tighten knots until the ribbon twists. Keep tulle away from flames, heaters and moving machinery.
